The Joys of a Wireless Trackball Mouse

I've never been the biggest fan of trackball mice, but a wireless trackball mouse can be one of the greatest helps in alleviating back pain from sitting at a desk for too long. Most mice are hard to work with when removed from their mouse pad, but a wireless trackball mouse needs no pad, instead operating via a small ball set inside of a stationary base. You rotate that ball around in order to move the pointer across the screen. A wireless trackball mouse can take some getting used to, but in the long run they can be far more comfortable, and precise, than a standard mouse.

For Comfort

It can get tiresome sitting in front of a computer for long hours, whether for work or for play. If the majority of your time spent in front of the computer involves using the mouse, a wireless trackball mouse can be a great boon to you. Take the base of the mouse and set it on either your leg or a tray settled across your lap, sit back and mouse away.

Aside from the relaxation feature there, a wireless trackball mouse also offers less shoulder and elbow movement as well as providing more than just one angle for you to hold your wrist at. One of my personal favorite features, since it means one can lift and stretch their wrist a bit without having to cease work quite so often. Of course, you should still take a good ten to 15 minute break every hour or two and give yourself a chance to stretch properly.

For Precision

A wireless trackball mouse, well, a trackball mouse in general to be honest, can provide extra precision that can be hard to achieve with a standard mouse. By having direct control over the ball that moves your pointer you can move only that millimeter or two you need when trying to align a project you're working on properly.

For a great many things done absolute precision isn't usually necessary, but just because it isn't necessary doesn't mean it can't be satisfying. Just about any perfectionist can agree that precision is almost as much of a necessity as warm clothing on a cold day, and the accuracy that a wireless trackball mouse can give its user is hard to beat when it comes to computer peripherals.

Whether you're looking for simple added comfort to your evening at home in front of the computer or pin-point accuracy on a project a wireless trackball mouse can be a wonderful addition to your desktop system.
